New Years Eve is the ultimate excuse for treating yourself to a brand new look to celebrate the night in style. While window shopping online for some inspiration, here's 3 looks below from 3 different online shops.

Feather Dress - £40

This dress is so cute and perfect for new years eve, it's fun yet not too daring as it's all black. I love the feather detail and its different to any other dress I own.

Leopard Print Coat - £65

I think I must be getting old because I'm looking at coats for going on a night out! You never know how cold it will be outside so this coat would be perfect from walking between bars but still looking good. The leopard print is perfect against the black as it will really stand out.

Vinyl ankle boots - £40

I think these boots are a great final touch to the outfit. They have a good heel on them which means you won't be hurting too much and can still make it to midnight, plus the texture on them will stand out against the texture on the dress. They look like a great statement piece not just for new year.

Red cutout jumpsuit - £179

If your plan is somewhere a little more posh where you need to dress up then this jumpsuit is for you. The cut outs are still fun and add a great touch to the jumpsuit, however the length and colour is sophisticated especially with red being a huge trend colour.

Public desire heels - £24

Because of the bold colour of the jumpsuit I'd want to keep the other details quite neutral, and these heels are perfect for this. I would definitely need some height if I were wearing a jumpsuit, however again I love a thicker heel so I still feel like I can actually walk in heels.

Beige Clutch - £12

This bag looks the perfect size to fit everything you need in, and the rose gold clasp matches the rose gold in the shoes. I only really have black clutch bags and the price of this is perfect!

Star body - £25

This is definitely the most fun outfit and I think it would work for most occasions, like a house party or a pub where you can be pretty casual and a bit more daring. I love this body and the star glitter detailing, I'd definitely wear something underneath however depending on where the stars fall I think you could get away with some nipple covers!

Kick flare trousers - £25

Kick flare trousers don't really suit me, however I absolutely love these and they aren't as out there as some other trousers I've seen recently. They are still fun and I love the zip detailing, and the body would look great tucked in.

Red ankle boots - £82

I absolutely adore these shoes and have been eyeing them up every time on the website, however I'm not really sure they'd work in my wardrobe. I think it would really finish off this outfit with the bright colour and unique heel shape.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Review

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is the new mobile game from Nintendo. It's free to download and pay, with the option of in app purchases for leaf tickets which allow you to speed up crafting items and get more fish/bugs instead of waiting for them.

I'm a huge animal crossing fan and have been for years. I used to play wild world on the DS, city folk on the wii and most recently new leaf for the 3DS. It's an open ended simulation game and easy to play for all ages. In Pocket camp, you come to town as the new campsite manager, and have to complete requests for your campers and other animals visiting the area in order to gain resources and build friendships which then builds your level up.

You can complete requests for animals by fishing, collecting shells or fruit and catching bugs. You see what items they want from the map and if you build up a collection in your pockets you can complete 2 or 3 requests easily for one animal instead of going back and forth to find the items.

Once you have done this a few times, you'll have built up a friendship with the animal and can invite them to your campsite. Now, these animals are quite picky with their taste so even if you've given them 4 squid and 20 pears, they still won't visit until you've got a whole polka dot decor going on which really messes with the aesthetic of a natural campsite! Luckily you can auto arrange which means once you've crafted everything you can invite the animal, then remove all the tacky decor after they've left.

I think Nintendo have done an excellent job with this game so far. At no point have I felt a need to pay to improve the game, as I'm happy to wait for items to be crafted as it means I can complete more requests and build up my resources in between. I've met a couple of characters that I haven't seen in ages which brought so much nostalgia, and I've heard they are already looking at bringing in more characters.

I also like that you can spend as much or as little time on it as you like. So far I've not had any notifications, and I can spend a good 30 mins on it or as little as 2 mins if I'm just checking what clothes are at the shop or if there's any requests I can complete without having to go and collect things.

I hope once they build the game up more they involve more locations, such as a city as I do miss collecting items for the museum and different characters such as Redd. I'd recommend the game to anyone whose previously played animal crossing or those new to it - you'll instantly love it's cuteness and calming features. Playing it again makes me remember how much it used to help my anxiety as I could get lost in the game for hours.

GIRLBOSS Netflix Review | TV

Recently I finished watching Girlboss, the Netflix TV series adaptation of the best selling book, Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso.

I have never read the book, however knew a little about it from reading various opinions on different blogs, however I was interested in the show because it's supporting online businesses which at the time were different and it's female led as it's written by Kay Cannon who has also wrote Pitch Perfect, and produced by Charlize Theron's production company which I thought was very cool indeed.

Unfortunately, I didn't like this series. I forced myself to watch it through to the end, and once I did finish it I was more happy that I had got through it rather than thinking how good it was...which is annoying because the final episode actually has some of the best moments.

The main reason I didn't like the show was Sophia. I know there's been some reviews where it's like she's a mean person and people don't get it, but I totally do get it. She is a mean person and I don't see her grow out of that or even learn her lessons, which makes her not very likeable. There's some TV characters which are selfish that I absolutely love, Hannah Horvath from Girls, Rachel Berry from Glee, Piper Chapman from Orange is the new black to name a few. The main reasons those end up being likeable is because they are called out for being selfish and mean, and learn from it. Sophia goes from episode 1-13 without really changing and her friends don't call her out on it once. It really bugged me and really made the show disappointing.

That being said, I think some parts of the series were done fantastically. In the final episode, there's receptive music when Sophia remembers something and thats really well done, the changes in mirror scenes when she sees how an outfit could look is cool and there's probably the best online forum representation that I've seen (it's probably a niche thing to see that often anyway).

It's been announced that the show has also been cancelled by Netflix and won't be returning for a second season. It's always disappointing for a show to be cancelled, especially with the reasoning basically being they want more quantity on their platform, however I don't think this one will be a huge loss. If you are interested in fashion, the online community or have read the book then you'd probably be interested in this series, but for me it's not one I'd recommend first.

Wonder Woman Movie Review | FILM

Well would you look at that, all it takes is a woman to sky rocket DC's approval ratings. This is something I've seen every now and again when looking at reviews for Wonder Woman. This movie wasn't highly anticipated because most people were not happy with DC and their franchise at the moment. Suicide squad was slammed, Batman vs superman was ugly and honestly no one really gave a damn about Superman in general, because he's one of the most boring superheroes.

There's a big thing about DC and Marvel, because at the moment DC wants to be marvel (especially seen in Suicide squad), they want to be funny, relevant and cool. Marvel films do that effortlessly and DC is like the try hard which was starting to get embarrassing. This is why wonder woman is being claimed as 'saving DC' and finally bringing DC back.

Honestly Wonder Woman is an alright movie. It's nothing amazing, however because it's better than some of the movies the DC franchise has brought out in recent years, it's making this movie look and sound a lot better than it is. It's currently at 93% on rotten tomatoes which has shocked many.

I think they played some of the movie really well, and other parts were really poor. If you go to watch it one thing you'll notice is the slow motion editing they use. It's a really cool effect, however it get so overused multiple times in every action scene that when it could be a really powerful moment to use it, it's taken down a few notches because you've already seen that effect 20 times in the past 10 minutes.

If you are interested in the superhero theme and franchise, this film is a good one to watch. It's one of the best films out in the cinema at the moment, but I wouldn't run to the screen to go and watch it this very second. Also, I watched this in 3D which was cool with the slow mo and some of the effects, however again you really don't notice the 3D that much towards the middle of the film so it doesn't add anything for me.

When it comes to skincare, I've definitely expanded my selection. I used to never really get into skincare growing up, as luckily I never really had any break outs, however since I've been wearing make up more often and growing into my twenties a few years ago I decided I needed to get more of a routine going.

It's definitely still a pretty basic and lazy guide, however it definitely works for me.

MORNING ROUTINE

Usually I take my make up off the night before, however I still sometimes get mascara under eyes that didn't fully come off. I use the johnson's wipes for these, which are wonderful for sensitive skin and I've been using these for at least 5 years. Next I go over my face with the pixi glow tonic on a cotton pad. I've only been using this for about 3 weeks but it's a wonderful product. It's a really gentle exfoliating toner and afterwards my skin feels soft and looks brighter.

At the moment I'm using The Body Shop vitamin C moisturiser, which is pretty good however I've got the Keihl's one waiting to go which I'm looking forward too. The vitamin C moisturiser does make my skin feel soft and looks bright, however it doesn't do much for my dry skin which is why I won't be going back straight away. To finish, I apply a small amount of the origins gin zing eye cream around my eyes. I tend to rub this in between both my ring fingers and gently press underneath my eyes, then over the lids/brows with any excess. I really like this product and feel like it definitely helps me look more fresh and awake.

EVENING ROUTINE

Usually in the evenings I am really tired and want to jump straight into bed, so there's really not much of a routine here. I take my make up off with the Garnier cleansing water, which is an amazing, affordable make up remover which is gentle to the skin and eyes. After that, I apply this vitamin E serum in oil over my skin, usually I pop a drop on each cheek, my nose and forehead and press into the skin with my hands, pressing any excess onto my chin and neck. This does make my skin feel really smooth and I really like it.

To finish off I use the vitamin E overnight cream, which is quite a thick cream so you really don't need too much. I like how thick it is because it feels really soft on your skin and it's easy to sleep in with no mess on the pillows. I would like to try a few different night creams after this one is used up, as it's for all skin types and I'd like one more for dry skin.

MASKS

I also like to do a mask once a week, just to free my skin at the end of the week and it makes me feel good. Currently I've been using the carbonated bubble clay mask, which you've probably seen as it's the one that bubbles up so you look like the moon emoji. I was a little sceptical of this product however I really like it, I like the sensation of the bubbling and it makes my skin feel really soft afterwards. It is quite hard to get in the UK, I got it from wowcher however it's also on eBay.

If I don't have time for a proper mask with the washing off and everything after, I like to use this Garnier tissue mask which is really hydrating and feels really cold and nice on the skin. It's little mess as it's a sheet mask and usually I rub in anything thats left so it really sinks into the skin.

And thats it! It really doesn't take me long for this routine and it's working for me at the minute, I am hoping to try more skincare out though however I also am a firm believer in if it ain't broke don't fix it!
